We are dedicated to helping improve the photographic skills of anyone interested and welcome anyone to join us, irrespective of their ability – If you know nothing about photography, we will teach you. If you know a lot you can teach us!! Come along and see what we can do for you. Ask any of the members for help with anything that you may be having issues with.
Meetings are held on the 1st Monday of the month at 7pm at The Wilson Street Baptist Church Hall, 17 Wilson Street, Timaru. Come along to the first two meetings as a guest and then make a decision about joining, or sign up today, either way we would love to have you join us.
There are regular workshops, field trips and interesting presentations at meetings. At least once a month there is something happening. You will also be given a handbook with the club’s calendar, competition details, rules and some tips.
We hold bi-monthly competitions for members to encourage and challenge you and progress your photography. Depending on your level of experience we have Novice, Intermediate, Advanced and Salon grades of photographer. Photos are judged by trained judges and awards/grades given – alongside detailed critiques of your images (extremely valuable insight to help improve your photography)
